After studying B.Tech and M.Tech from highly reputed institutes, working in excellent positions and despite being very busy, keep thinking about the new inventions of every moment of science, keep thinking about how new scientific inventions reach the common man. Engineer Swapnil Kumar Sharma, a resident of Prayagraj, has been an essential part of his life. Due to this thinking, Engineer Swapnil Ji, inspired by the basic spirit of the promotion of science, also made a world record.
Born on December 27, 1989, Engineer Swapnil Ji was a brilliant student since childhood, as well as he used to be keen on discoveries from a young age. Due to this thinking, he started making science projects from his school days and started participating in district-level, state level and national competitions and exhibitions. Under this, you met Bharat Ratna respected Dr Abdul Kalam ji and eminent scholar Shriyut Professor Yashpal ji at the famous Kitt University of Odisha, which gave new energy to your life. Your scientific research continued, along with completing B.Tech and M.Tech studies, first in the private sector in Delhi and later becoming a spokesperson in the Engineering College. After some time, he left everything and came to his home district Prayagraj where he first served at Allahabad Museum of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and then later on as IT Manager at North Central Zone Cultural Center, another institution of Ministry of Culture. The train of life was going well, but the mind was restless, to do something special
Meanwhile, Engineer Swapnil, his childhood friend, along with his childhood friend, Engineer Ritanshu Gupta, formed a science club named “I Science World” and started working towards fulfilling its original objective. Seeing your dedication and thinking, Engineer Rishabh Pandey also joined you later. Now your team has started making efforts to establish science among the students on a large scale. While working on a large scale, thinking of doing something big, in 2019 a thought arose in your mind why not do the work so big that it becomes a world record? So that the importance of scientific approach and thinking can be explained to everyone on a large scale. During the service in the cultural centre, you had the experience of seeing such world records being made during the Kumbh 2019 event. Mentioned this idea to my friends and got all the necessary information by contacting the office of the Golden Book of World Records to make the record.
After discussing many points including the topic of making a world record, work started on the action plan for making a world record. And for this, under the aura of extensive experiences of Smt. Ravinder Birdi, the founder and promoter of Eye Science World and Principal of Sri Mahaprabhu Public School, started working by forming a team. Pro KK Bhutani, Ms Shweta Arora, Mr Shri Bhagwan Pandey, Engineer JS Birdi, Mr Ashish Tiwari, Mr Sarvesh Pandey, Mrs Suman Jaiswal, Mrs Anita Mishra, Mrs Suchitra Verma, Ms Prominent in completing this extraordinary work. Preeti Singh, Mr. Ashish Ranjan, Mrs. Cynthia D’Cruza, Mrs. Sonu Singh, Mrs. Pragya Kushwaha, Mr. Siraj Ansari, Mr. Soumya Srivastava, etc. along with many educationists, students, science communicators started making their incredible contribution. In this way, all of you together set a target of making a detailed record of the use of water by adding about 5000 students. There were many other problems including adding such a large number of students and making financial arrangements, yet your team got engaged with full dedication and finally, that day came on December 14, 2019, after almost nine months of tireless penance. When 4272 students in Prayagraj made a world record with the title “Most people performing science experiment involving water” using science together. By registering his name in the Golden Book of World Records, he added to the fame of Prayagraj, the city of scholars. Born in the courtyard of father Mr Gopal Swaroop and mother Mrs Urmila, Engineer Swapnil Kumar Sharma ji has devoted himself completely to the promotion of science among children in Prayagraj today.
