Shri Ramcharitmanas is a unique and wonderful book that is useful and educational for every human life. This is the reason why this work written years ago is completely relevant even in the present times. That is why even today people read and listen to it with great reverence. Shri Ramcharitmanas is an epic based on the life of Lord Shri Ram, in which the entire Ram story is presented in seven chapters. The names of these incidents are – Balakand, Ayodhyakand, Aranyakand, Kishkindhakand, Sundarkand, Lankakand and Uttarakhand. The epic Shri Ramcharitmanas is written by the famous poet of the Bhakti period, Goswami Tulsidas. Reciting Shri Ramcharitmanas inspires me to overcome family and social problems. Ramcharitmanas may contain Ramkatha, but its basic objective is to teach morality and ethics through the character of Lord Shri Ram.
While preparations are being made for the consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lalla in Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya Dham of India, there is a festive atmosphere for the same in the Lord’s maternal home Chhattisgarh. During the Tulsi Pratishthan ceremony organized at Gunderdehi in the Baloda district of Chhattisgarh, Shri Ramcharitmanas were handed over to the devotees with full respect, during this the devotees placed Shri Ramcharitmanas on their forehead and chanted Jai to Lord Shri Ram due to which the entire event became Ram-may. State Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Say, and Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh were chief guests at the ceremony. The work of distributing Shri Ramcharitmanas among the devotees was done by Kanker MP Shri Mohan Lal Mandavi (Mr Mohan Lal Mandavi, Member of Parliament Kanker, CG). Shri Mandavi has been doing the work of distributing Shri Ramcharitmanas among the people since 2002. Till now, he has presented Shri Ramcharitmanas to 48000 people and during the function, by distributing Shri Ramcharitmanas to 3000 people, he has distributed a total of 51000 Shri Ramcharitmanas. Mr. Mandavi’s name was recorded in the Golden Book of World Records as a world record with the title of “Largest Distribution of Shri Ramcharitmanas” for the highest distribution of Shri Ramcharitmanas. The official certificate of the World Record was presented to Shri Mandavi by the National Head of the Golden Book of World Records Shri Alok Kumar, who was present in the program and said that Shri Mandavi has done great work in changing the lives of people through Shri Ramcharitmanas. With the aim that more and more people could be influenced by the ideals of Lord Shri Ram and follow him in life, the distribution of Shri Ramcharitmanas was started in Shri Mandavi.
On this occasion of the Tulsi Pratishthan ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai started his address by praising Shri Ram. They said, “I will call Kanker MP Shri Mohan Mandavi as Ramayana MP. I would call him a hero, he has done an outstanding job in distributing Manas. He further said that Shri Mandavi has brought glory not only to himself but also to Chhattisgarh. He has worked to provide peace to 51 thousand families. He has also encouraged people to have Tulsi Chaura in every house. This is very good work. Distribution of Ram Charit Manas determines the direction of building a better society, I congratulate Shri Mandavi for this important work and for getting his name registered in the Golden Book of World Records. During the program, District Collector Inderjit Singh Chandrawal, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Yadav, former MP Shri Madhusudan Yadav and other public representatives were special guests. Congratulating Mr. Mandavi on his name in the Golden Book of World Records, media in-charge Mr. Umesh Singh said that under the leadership and guidance of Mandavi, hundreds of mandalis in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Orissa go from village to village to sing musical praises of Lord Shri Ram’s character.
