Chhatreshwari Chamunda Mata Mandir, Ujjain is a famous pilgrimage place in Madhya Pradesh. This temple is situated at the Chamunda Mata intersection in the middle of the city. Mother Chamunda, who grants welfare to the devotees, has also been called Mangalakrani, which is why the darshan and worship of the mother on Tuesday have special significance. It is believed that by having the darshan of Chhatreshwari Chamunda Mata continuously for twelve Tuesdays, the wishes are fulfilled. Here Goddess Maa is present in the form of Chhatreshwari and Chamunda Mata. Mother Goddess is seated in the temple facing east. Chamunda Mata Temple is the centre of faith for innumerable devotees. Special pujas and rituals are performed in this temple on the occasion of Sharadiya and Chaitra Navratri.
With the conclusion of the year 2023, a special event was organized by Chhatreshwari Chamunda Mata Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. On behalf of Chamunda Mata Mandir Samiti and Lions of Ujjain, food was kept for the people who belong to the poor and deprived class. Distribution of food and Prasad is a common thing in temples but the speciality of this event was that it was a buffet feast. Just as a buffet banquet is organized with royal arrangements in programs like wedding ceremonies, the same type of banquet was organized for the poor, destitute and deprived class people under the joint aegis of the Temple Committee and Lions of Ujjain. This special banquet was organized under the leadership of Pt. Sunil Choubey and Pt. Nikhil Choubey on Sunday 31st December was recorded as a world record in the Golden Book of World Records with the title of “Largest Buffet for Underprivileged Community”. This special banquet was organized under the guidance of Pandit Sharad Choubey ji and in conjunction with Shri Rajendra Shah ji of Lion of Ujjain (MJF Lion District 3233 G2).
On this special day, the Chhatraeshwari Chamunda Mata Temple Committee makes the devotees coming to visit the temple aware of the major temples of Hinduism and the deities enshrined in them, the replicas of the famous shrines – Sapt Puri, Char Dham, Dwadash Jyotirlinga, fifty-one Shaktipeeth as well as the idols located in the temples located in the entire Ujjain city were decorated as an exhibition. This special exhibition, which gave a view of the famous temples of the entire country under one roof, was recorded in the Golden Book of World Records as a world record with the title of “Largest Exhibition of Hindu Pilgrimage Site Under One Roof”. Certificates of both world records were given to the organizers by Dr. Manish Vishnoi, Asia Head of Golden Book of World Records and representative Mr. Manoj Kumar Shukla, who were specially present at the event. In the exhibition “Bharat Darshan” organized at Chamunda Mata Temple under the supervision of Pt. Sunil Choubey, Pt. Nikhil Choubey and Shri Vipul Shah, devotees got the privilege of visiting a total of 89 Hindu religious places. Even before this, in August 2022, through the Maa Chhatraeshwari Chamunda Mata Mandir Bhakta Committee, on the occasion of Shahi Savari on Monday, distributing 30 quintals of Sabudana Khichdi to the devotees on the occasion of Shahi Savari, by creating a world record with the title of “Largest Distribution of Sago Khichdi”, a name was registered in the Golden Book of World Records.
