Salons and hairdressers are maintained by all people, whether male or female, but the workers associated with it were given the status of servants since ancient times. More or less still there is not much change in this attitude. Can a salon owner or a hairdresser please a certain section of society who desperately needs a piece of happiness? Can change the attitude of people? And can one register his name in the Golden Book of World Records by donating hair? This question is very difficult, but Mr Ashok Paliwal, a resident of Udaipur in Rajasthan province, has done a unique feat of doing this very pious work.

Ashok Paliwal’s forefathers used to work as hairdressers, so you decided to work in this field even after getting post-graduation education. Your salon is very prestigious being the oldest salon in Udaipur city and is visited by a large number of people every day. Mr Ashok Paliwal was very much associated with social work since his student life, so it was troubling in your mind that people associated with this profession should be educated and trained, they should be made aware of cleanliness and health. As a result, you got involved in this direction and started forming an organization of all salon operators for this purpose. After forming an organization from the local level to the national level, everyone, especially the youth, started making them aware of their ideas, which gradually started getting success. Started providing international level training to the people engaged in this profession and also ensuring the participation of their people in many national and international competitions related to it, and you started getting success in this too. Along with his work, Ashok Paliwal ji was deeply involved in social work, due to this personality, he also joined the Rotary Club and was also nominated as the President of Rotary Club Udaipur Panna.

Due to this personality, he also joined the Rotary Club and was also made the President of Rotary Club Udaipur Panna. Once Ashok Paliwal was introduced to Mumbai-based “Madad Trust” which makes wigs available to women suffering from cancer. So that they can be given some happiness, can be re-connected with society and can be encouraged to fight against diseases like cancer. Now Paliwal ji got engaged in this work and started making women aware to donate hair. There were difficulties in the initial phase, but slowly people started understanding you, being impressed by your noble intention and started donating hair. Only 12 to 13-inch long hair can be cut to make a wig and a wig is made by mixing 6 to 7 women’s hair, so shorter-length hair is unsuitable. In July 2019, you started the work of hair donation and within 6 months, more than 100 women donated hair after being impressed by you, this was possible only because of your sacrifice and the unprecedented contribution of your team in this work.

One day a woman named Ms Manali Kunwar, who was a yoga teacher, came to donate her hair, her hair was very long, and you were surprised to see that woman ready to cut her long hair. Because the length of Ms Manali Kunwar’s hair was more than 50 inches, you suddenly thought why not make a world record for a donation of such long hair? For this you contacted the Golden Book of World Records (GBWR) office, it was informed by the Record Management Judge and the representative of the Golden Book of World Records that till now there is a world record for donating 43 inches of hair. After understanding all the formalities, you and Ms Manali Kunwar decided to break this world record and set a new world record. Finally, on March 5, 2020, the day came when Sushri Manali Kunwar broke the earlier record of donating 44 inches of hair and entered the Golden Book of World Records. Ms Manali gave full credit for this achievement to Mr Ashok Paliwal ji because it was possible only because of his inspiration. On this extraordinary achievement, Ashok Paliwal ji is getting immense appreciation from every section of society and after the creation of this world record, now a large number of women are joining you to cooperate in this pious work.
