The day of 6th June 2020 brought a very happy message for Delhi Pradeshik Maheshwari Mahila Sanghthan, because the two-month online workshop, which was conducted to encourage women and develop their skills during Corona, was successful in getting registered in the Golden Book of World Records.

Mrs Shyama Bhangaria, President of Delhi Regional Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan, told that while taking care of the family fighting against the pandemic Corona and doing all the household chores, it was a dual and extremely responsible role for women. Therefore, to mentally empower the women associated with our organization, we planned to conduct a workshop on the Zoom app. The first workshop was started in Delhi state on March 30, 2020, the objective of which was that women can take out some time for themselves, get some new experiences and get out of the fear of this disease called Corona for some time, and the certificate of Golden Book of World Records received today proved that our effort was very meaningful and successful.

According to Mrs Shyama Bhangadiya ji, she got the inspiration to create a world record from the national president of the organization, Asha Didi and General Secretary Manju Didi, who made the world record for ‘largest online executive committee meeting of women’ by holding an online meeting of 1000 sisters in a day. Mrs Lakshmi Baheti ji of the organization said that we are also running a free online workshop for the sisters of the organization for the last two months, why don’t we apply this work for the world record? Because this is the world’s first workshop organized by women only for women. National Outgoing Presidents of the organization Kalpana Didi, Neelam ji and Kanta ji also searched the internet and found that this workshop is unprecedented and has been organized for the first time in the world. After this it was duly applied in GBWR with all the proofs.

Mrs. Poonam Toshniwal told that this journey of entertainment, education and learning which started for a day or two continued till May 31 for two months. A week after the start of the workshop, it had become such a situation that all the women used to wait every day at 5 pm to see when the class time would come and was curious as to which class would be held today and what would be new. Forgetting this terrible disease, the desire to learn something new, the mind to get ready daily and meet with friends for two hours to inquire about their well-being, instilled new energy in all the women. The purpose of this online workshop organized by the organization was also to ‘keep everyone connected even after keeping distance from each other in this difficult time’.

Throwing light on the workshop, Mrs Prabha Jaju ji said that starting this online workshop on health, discussions were held with the doctor in the first week. In which big doctors were invited for discussion, as well as prayers were also offered to God for everyone through bhajan kirtan. After this, all the women sometimes entertained themselves by playing Tambola and Treasure Hunt online and sometimes by learning and teaching new kitchen recipes, they cooked food like a restaurant at home and looted the applause of the whole family. In the workshop, we also got to learn how to live happily in harmony with the whole family, and how to decorate our home more beautifully, besides enjoying a variety of other classes from the invited speakers. Due to this workshop, all the speakers and teachers also got a new platform from the society.

After the confirmation of the record with the title ‘First online management workshop for a woman’ by the representative of the Golden Book of World Records, Mrs Bhangaria ji said that. “The biggest thing is that we have got this world record only and only because of the sisters of our state”. Those who gave their valuable time by coming on the online platform in such numbers and always boosted our morale.
