The ‘Women’s Rights Upliftment Security and Empowerment Committee’ of All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan organized a 3D Virtual Trade Fair with the name “Sakhi Expo 2021” which created history and set a world record. While making its official announcement, Dr Manish Vishnoei, Asia Head, Golden Book of World Records, said that this trade fair organized by All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan from 16 to 24 April 2021 was unique in itself as it was the world’s first virtual trade fair organized by a women’s organization. Hence it has been included in the Golden Book of World Records with the title “First virtual trade fair organized by Women Organization”.
Ms Asha Maheshwari, President, Akhil Bharatvarshiy Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan told that the virtual trade fair was inaugurated by Lok sabha speaker, Honourable Mr Om Birla on 14th April. Expressing happiness, he said, “If women in the country become self-reliant, then the economy of the country will be strong. It is a good effort of the Maheshwari society to make women self-reliant in this era of Corona. Women in the country have achieved records in every field”. Proving the words of Mr. Birla to be true, today the Women’s Rights Upliftment Security and Empowerment Committee of All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan has registered its name in the Golden Book of World Records.
National General Secretary of the committee Mrs Manju Bangar told that under the wing of All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan “Women’s Rights Upliftment Security and Empowerment Committee”, a face group buying-selling group named ‘Sakhi’ was envisaged on the day of “Mahesh Navami” given Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s self-reliant plan to provide economic independence to women. Which place was given only to Maheshwari women, but the group was kept public so that the people of the society can also contact the seller and buy goods after seeing the post in it. Taking this scheme a step further, an expo named ‘Sakhi Expo 2021’ has been envisaged in which a platform has been made available with an emphasis on the self-reliance of women.
Project Head of Trade Expo, Smt. Girija Sarda ji said, for the first time in the country, a 3D Virtual Expo was organized by any women’s organization, creating a 360-degree environment. Started with a target of 100 stalls, more than 130 stalls participated in this expo. For the all-round development of women, not only stalls were set up in this expo, but women who had achieved a different positions in different fields were invited through the auditorium and taking advantage of their experience, a web series has been created with the aim that our women and tips can get inspiration from them. To inspire all women through the auditorium, powerful women of India like Sister Shivani ji, Sahar Latif ji, Monica Pampaliya ji, Seema Tapadia ji, Tulika Talwar ji, Sunita Talwar ji, Shobha Indani ji, Dolly Jain ji and Avni Biyani ji were introduced.
Committee’s National Office Minister Smt. Madhu Lalit Baheti ji informed that in this expo, women bought and sold products or services manufactured by themselves or produced by other companies and also did relationship building with each other, so that in future Maheshwari Samaj while doing business with the people of the society itself, the work of buying and selling raw material could be done at reasonable prices.
The national treasurer of the committee, Mrs. Jyoti Rathi and the national organization minister, Mrs. Shaili Kalantari told that one of the objectives of this expo has also been to train women for virtual trading. Today, during the epidemic of covid-19, the virtual world has emerged as a big opportunity. Today, when everyone is believing in online buying and selling, then we should take full advantage of this opportunity and introduce ourselves in the virtual world. try to fit in.
Committee in-charge Mrs. Usha Mohonto and technical in-charge Mrs. Bhagyashree Chandak told that our women will be able to work on virtual platforms like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon etc. in future by taking advantage of the training that will be done through this expo.
On the occasion of the name being registered in golden letters in the Golden Book of World Records (GBWR), the zonal co-in charges of All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan Smt. Swati Kabra, Smt. Rajshree Mohta, Smt. Rashmi Biyani, Smt. Kanchan Rathi, Smt. Declared a new chapter in the field of women’s empowerment.
