Before the Constitution came into force in India on 26 January 1950, our country was a slave of the British government and before the British government, there was no democratic system in the country. The country was ruled by kings and everyone did not get equal rights there. In such a situation, when the Constitution came into force in the country on 26 January 1950, a democratic system was implemented in the country. Due to this every citizen of the country got the right to choose his ruler and a common man also got the right to stand as a candidate. In a democratic system, every ruler is chosen by the public. Who will be in power, who will win and who will not win? These are decided by the public and the citizens of the country. The public elects its representative by voting. The importance of voting is very high for both the public and the representative. The right to vote is a fundamental right. This right has been given to us by the Constitution. Through voting, we elect the representatives of our country. These representatives form our government and rule our country. Therefore, we must exercise our right to vote and contribute to the development of our country.
