Shriyut Yadvendra Singh Sandhu is a name who, following the footsteps of his forefathers, has been making continuous efforts for the past several years to introduce the country’s youth to the heroes of freedom, to explain their struggle and sacrifice, and to inspire the general public. Yadvendra Singh Sandhu, the great-grandson of Shaheed Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, has formed the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Brigade and is engaged in saving the memories of the martyrs. You work to save the memories of not only Bhagat Singh but also of other martyrs.

Born on October 12, 1983, in the courtyard of Sardar Shri Babar Singh Sandhu and Mrs Surendra Kaur, this true son has got the true love of the country through blood. You are the National President of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Brigade and through this, you keep on doing one or the other program on the martyrs, without any government help. In this episode, the idea of installing the statues of 16 martyrs came to your mind, after discussing with all your friends and acquaintances, you decided to install the statues of 16 different martyrs in different villages. After preparing a solid program, determining the place for the making of the idols etc., the date for taking the next step was fixed. The office of the Golden Book of World Records was also contacted to register it in the world record. Finally, the day came on May 23, 2018, when Shaheed Bhagat Singh Brigade led by Mr Yadvendra Singh Sandhu in 13 villages including Panjuana, Bhavidhi, Randhawa, Rupawas, Barasari, Kagdana, Makkhosrani, Shahawala, Kanwarpura, Jodhkan, Ding, Phulka and Bharokha in Sirsa district within just 16 hours, 16 martyrs, including Sardar Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajguru, Batukeshwar Dutt, Sardar Udham Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Madan Lal Dhingra, Baba Tara Singh, installed a total of 16 martyrs’ statues and established a wonderful world record by registering their names in the Golden Book of World Records. Similarly, on August 10, 2018, under the leadership of Mr Yadvendra Singh Sandhu, 20,000 youths gathered together wearing Basanti turbans full of enthusiasm and registered their names in the Golden Book of World Records.

Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana Mr Manohar Lal Khattar himself was present to witness this auspicious program. Looking at this wonderful contribution of Mr Yadvendra Singh Sandhu, the Haryana Government has also made him the chairman of the Youth Commission.
