As soon as there is a slight climatic change in the normal environment, we get upset. Even if the temperature becomes high and even if it decreases. Normal life gets thrown out of gear due to a drop in temperature during winter. Now, if a person has to live in such an environment for several months, how difficult it would be to adapt? But there are scientists among us who do research in very difficult conditions.

Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Head of the Department of Environment Department and Professor Mr Jaswant Singh Ji reaches Antarctica and does research work there for many months. Yes, it is a different matter that for this they often have to risk their lives as well.

For the first time in the year 2002, you got the opportunity to join the Indian team going on the Antarctic expedition. There you had to research the effect of ultraviolet rays coming from the sun on the plants. After reaching there, you collected new information on many serious facts, for which you were highly appreciated by the scientists. Given your extraordinary scientific vision, in the year 2004, and again in the year 2004, the Government of India allowed you to join the Indian team going on the expedition to Antarctica. Although you had to deal with life-threatening problems many times during both expeditions to Antarctica, neither did it affect your research work nor did you get discouraged. You went both times and tried to uncover many of the deepest secrets of the environment. After a long gap has passed, in the year 2018, you have to go ahead with your research by going to the polls once again in the next year i.e. 2019, while preparing the blueprint of your action plan. Your hypothesis was still going on that suddenly it was informed that the Indian government’s campaign on the poles is going on in the year 2018 itself, in which only a few days are left, not months. Now you were faced with a two-way dilemma. On the one hand, it was difficult to complete all the paper formalities in such a short time, and on the other hand, the marriage of the daughter had already been fixed and only a few days were left for that. After all, it is only a dream for a father to see off his darling in a dolly from an Antarctica expedition. Professor Jaswant Singh, who is rich in ideas and considered research as worship in his life, decided to go on the campaign once again and hurriedly got his daughter married and completed all the formalities quickly and went on the campaign.

By reaching the Antarctic, you have made a successful attempt to uncover various mysteries. On your return from the expedition, a felicitation ceremony was organized for you in New Delhi and the university, and given your hard work, the Advanced Antarctic Environmental Research Center was established at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. Dedicated to science, environment and research, this scientist Mahatma is still engaged in his penance with full devotion.
