“शहीदों की चिताओं पर लगेगें हर बरस मेले,
वतन पर मरने वालों का यही बाकी निशां होगा”
We all know that the country got freedom after a lot of sacrifice, struggle and struggle. Lakhs and crores of people have sacrificed their everything. Even though there have been multiple ways at the ideological level, the aim of all was the same to make the country independent from foreign rule. Instead of confronting the resourceful British power and forcing it to leave the country, our brave sons had to make great sacrifices. The revolutionaries who directly clashed with the foreign power had not only made life difficult for the people of power with their actions, but today they continue to fill us with enthusiasm and passion to serve the motherland by infusing new energy within us. Despite all this, what are we living up to the dream he had dreamed, it is a point to think about and even more so, we remain behind somewhere in giving him the respect he deserves. There is no need to tell about the bravery and contribution of many great sons like Sardar Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ramprasad Bismil, and Ashfaq Ullah Khan, the ideal of the young generation, nor was their glory so weak that they could be forgotten.
The sacrifice of those great men, their sacrifice, and martyrdom is an invaluable treasure for us today, which keeps on energizing us all. To save the memories of those heroes, various types of works are done by the government administration so that the coming generations can be aware of their sacrifices and sacrifices and it can be known how huge sacrifices had to be made for freedom. Many revolutionaries participated in the freedom movement and sacrificed their everything, to whom we all neglect to pay due gratitude. Are we going to forget their memories? The condition of many revolutionaries is such that their statues, tombs and mausoleums have been erected today, but there is no welfare for them, there is no one to ask them, they are in dilapidated condition, and the same is the condition of their family members.
Born on July 7, 1964, in the lap of Shri Ram Anuj Pandey and Mrs Savitri Devi, in Sanethu village of Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Suryakant Pandey has been filled with a feeling of infinite affection towards the revolutionaries since childhood. Right from your childhood, your heart was filled with immense love for the poor, the oppressed and the downtrodden. Being self-respecting and fearless since his student life, he raised the alarm of the movement for not allowing the poor, backward, uneducated people in the village to vote in the Lok Sabha elections to be held during high school itself. With this courage of yours, the poor, weak and backward class people got enthusiasm and all of them participated enthusiastically in voting. It was from here that the seed was sown within you to do something for society, to serve the poor and downtrodden. Because of this, he could not pursue further studies and devoted himself completely to social service.
Amar Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan ji got martyrdom in Faizabad itself, so you started the work of saving the spirit that was stirring in your mind to save the memories of the revolutionaries. Due to this spirit, in the year 1989, you established the Ashfaq Ullah Khan Memorial Martyr Research Institute in Faizabad and every year you keep on doing various programs to save the memory of the martyrs. Along with this, you also do a lot of work for the upgradation of talents. You have a special affection for litterateurs, thinkers, thinkers and social workers, for this, you are always working.
Praising those working in any field, on the one hand, gives a feeling of satisfaction in their mind, and on the other hand, the urge to do such work arises within other people as well. There are many litterateurs, scientists, sportspersons, doctors, and social workers who are engaged in the service of humanity and society through their work, even though no one notices their sacrifice. Most respected Shri Suryakant Pandey ji has decided that you will work to honour such distinguished personalities through Ashfaq Ullah Khan Memorial Shaheed Shodh Sansthan. In this direction, from the year 1998, you started conferring the honour named “Mati Ratan”. This example set by you is being reflected in the whole country today. This is the only prestigious honour in the country given in the name of martyrs. Today, Mati Ratan Samman is being considered for the Nobel Award of the past. Many famous people like the famous poet Padmashree Anwar Jalalpuri ji, Munawwar Rana Sahab, and world-famous mountaineer respected Arunima Sinha ji, many such personalities have been awarded this prestigious honour.
Today, not only in the Faizabad district but in the entire state, Mr Suryakant Pandey is seen as the messiah of the poor and downtrodden. You haven’t even completed your graduation, but are always immersed in studies as soon as you get time. You have also composed many compositions, in which the main ones are Ghar Par Aagaaz and Jazbaat. Aap Sakshi, a follower of famous litterateur Rahul Sankrityayan, does a magazine. It deals with various aspects of the life of freedom fighters from 1857 to 1957. You also provide scholarships to poor, meritorious children in the name of martyrs. Every year on the birthday of Ashfaq Ullah Khan, All India Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan are organized in the direction of strengthening social unity. To maintain social harmony in the country, you recruit hundreds of youths from the district and keep preparing them. You also publish the creations of the poets of the district. To make the new generation aware of the martyrs, in the year 2017, you had a padayatra of 2339 km. Shri Suryakant Pandey, who dedicated his entire life to preserving and enhancing the memories of the martyrs, is trying to fulfil this dream of setting up a huge museum in the name of Ashfaq Ullah Khan.
