Addiction is a curse which is very harmful to every person in the society. This problem has serious consequences and can take a person’s life in the opposite direction. Today, drug addiction is affecting people in every part and every section of the country like an epidemic. Due to drug addiction, many youth in our country are seen consuming cigarettes, alcohol and other intoxicants. They do not understand that any intoxication can prove fatal for them in the future. To reduce the effects of drug addiction in the country and society, society should be aware and also should provide support to the de-addiction campaigns run by the government. So that people struggling with the effects of drug addiction can get help and society can get freedom from this epidemic.
A similar campaign for de-addiction was run by Raipur Police. The “Hello Zindagi” de-addiction campaign was started on 16 August 2023 under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Prashant Aggarwal, Additional Superintendent of Police Mrs Chanchal Tiwari and Additional Superintendent of Police Mr Abhishek Maheshwari. Under this campaign, various works were done by the students of various schools and colleges till 02 October 2023, the main one being the work of making slogans and posters on de-addiction. Sixty-one thousand seven hundred fifty (61750) poster slogans were made on de-addiction in Raipur district.
Dr Manish Vishnoi, Asia Head of Golden Book of World Records in the office of Superintendent of Police, Raipur in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Prashant Agarwal and Additional Superintendent of Police Chanchal Tiwari officially announced that Raipur Police’s campaign “Hello Zindagi” has got a place in the Golden Book of World Records and the names of the three officers will be included in the Golden Book of World Records by awarding a certificate of GBWR along with a medal, batch. Police friend Roshan David said that in the ‘Hello Zindagi Nasha Mukti Abhiyan’, all the DSPs, SDOPs, ti, various principals, teachers, and NGOs of Raipur encouraged to stay away from drugs through different means in malls, mohallas, markets, settlements of urban and rural areas. Slogan, poster, drawing, painting, essay and debate competitions were organized in schools and colleges.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Prashant Aggarwal, while congratulating on making the de-addiction campaign a complete success and the name of District Police Raipur being included in the world record, said that the de-addiction program should not be stopped. The campaign has to be continued with the same enthusiasm and dedication. You encouraged all the citizens and the police department associated with ‘Hello Zindagi Nasha Mukti Abhiyan’. All NGOs, DEO, DPO, principals, teachers, students, journalists, and media, especially the Saya Foundation and Udan G S Society were honoured with citations. Everyone congratulated Raipur Police’s campaign Hello Zindagi for getting a place in the Golden Book of World Records.
