Along with plants and trees, animals and birds also play an important role in keeping the environment balanced. Birds also carry seeds from one place to another, so that the environment remains green. Where there is chirping of birds, the environment is balanced. Birds are the main components of the environment, the droppings of birds contain urea which works as fertilizer and they also help us in biocontrol by destroying harmful crop pests. Birds are an integral part of our environment. But due to illegal hunting and the reduction in forest areas, some birds are in danger. Today, the biggest side effect of the fast storm of development is on biodiversity, the number of many species of birds is declining rapidly and many species are on the verge of extinction today. It is our utmost duty to protect birds for environmental protection.

Professor Dr. Arun Kher, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, who is also the head of the Botany Department at Holkar Science College and a renowned botanist, given the rapid decline in the number of many species of birds and to make people aware of the environmental crisis caused by it, took the help of his art to paint pictures of various types of birds on hens’ eggs and also started organizing exhibitions of pictures of birds painted on eggs in every corner of the country. Due to his special love for art and nature, he created a world record by creating pictures of different birds on a total of 660 eggs. For painting pictures of birds with the maximum number of eggs, Dr. Arun Kher’s name was recorded in the Golden Book of World Records as a world record with the title of “Largest Number of Birds Painted on Poultry Egg Shells“.

Dr. Arun Kher has been inclined towards art since childhood but concern for environment and nature inspired him to work deeply in this direction. Dr. Kher, a wonderful protector of nature, who has been engaged in this work for the last three decades, is making people aware of their duty towards nature and birds by painting hundreds of birds. The only wish behind all this is that people should be aware of the conservation of environment and nature and understand their responsibilities towards nature and birds.
