The hand is the only part of the body which helps in doing every work and makes even the most difficult task easy. But it can be imagined how difficult life becomes if suddenly there are no hands. But there are also such personalities who do not give up due to any shortcoming and with their courage they make the biggest flight and become an ideal.
When such a person, whose both hands are cut off, approaches the concerned office to make a driving license, then it was natural for everyone to get angry and scoff at this. But when the person is asked to take a driving test in the tight and congested areas of Lucknow, all the officers present at that time are stunned to see the person driving with such speed. A resident of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, who built himself up with his indomitable courage, has become a source of inspiration for the people, the name of that person is Mr Ashok Kumar Diwedi.
Born on the 22nd of July in the year 1967 in the lap of Shri Durga Prasad Dwivedi ji and Mrs Phoolkali Devi ji, Shri Ashok Dwivedi ji must have been only 12 years old when he was a class 8 student. Then, while trying to save the servant who was met with an accident while cutting fodder in an electrically powered machine, he became a victim and lost both his hands. After recovering after a long time, again with renewed vigour you started setting standards of life and first of all, started studying. Braving various storms, you completed your studies and then started practising law.
Slowly you are being counted among good lawyers. You started helping the poor, women and disabled people a lot and after the Right to Information Act was enacted by the Government of India in the year 2005, you started helping people a lot in this direction and started providing justice. Apart from driving the best car, you are also adept at playing many musical instruments like the harmonium in the best way. Today, along with a reputed lawyer in the district, you are also known and considered a social worker, a great person who helps the poor and gives them justice. Mr. Ashok Kumar Dwivedi ji grew up listening to the taunts of people saying “He doesn’t have hands”, but the same people don’t get tired of praising you today. Today, you are often invited as a guest on prestigious forums and without considering your physical weakness as a hindrance, you have become an inspiration for people by becoming a hard worker with the help of your spirit.
