Yoga is an extremely ancient, effective meditative, and important part of physical practice. Through yoga, pranayama, and meditation, accumulated stress can be reduced, muscles can be strengthened, and the body’s flexibility can be increased. Through methods of meditation and psychology, yoga calms, stabilizes, and balances your mind, thereby reducing stress, anxiety, and worry. Shirshasana is an important and effective yoga asana, which is done by standing on the head. This asana helps in channelling the energy of the body in the right direction and provides peace and harmony to the mind.
During the program organized on 05 October 2023 at Devsingh Maidan in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, a wonderful demonstration of yoga art was given by Yogacharya Mr. Vijay Prakash Joshi. During the program, Yogacharya set a world record by reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Shirshasana Yogamudra in just 1 minute 40 seconds. Which was recorded as a world record in the Golden Book of World Records with the title of “Fastest Recitation of Hanuman Chalisa in Shirshasana Yoga Pose”. The official world record certificate was given by Mr. Yatish Chandra Shukla, representative of the Golden Book of World Records, present in the program. On this occasion, Pithoragarh Municipal Corporation President Mr Rajendra Singh Rawat, present at the program, congratulated Vijay Joshi for making the world record.
For this world record, Yogacharya Vijay ji practised hard for 90 minutes every day for 6 consecutive months, as a result of which he created this golden history today. Even before this, Yogacharya Vijay Prakash Joshi and the students trained by him have established world records and got their names registered with golden letters in the Golden Book of World Records.
