The knowledge that was considered the best knowledge in the Vedic period was “Brahma Gyan” and the quality was that women were provided with the system to obtain it by the then society, along with this they also had the right to military education. It is found in Atharvaveda that “Brahma Charyen Kanya Yuvanam Vindate Patim.” That is, some girls used to get married after graduation in that period and some remained celibate for life. She used to be engrossed in the discussion of scriptures while leading an austere life. In the Vedic period, many learned women composed various hymns. Vishvavara composed the six hymns mentioned in the 28th Sukta of the fifth Mandala of the Rigveda. Apala compiled verses 1 to 7 of the 91st Sukta of the eighth Mandala of the Rigveda. Surya composed the Sukta related to the marriage of Rigveda, in this way the women of the Vedic period knew very well how to milk cows, spin and weave yarn, sew clothes, etc. She was proficient in dance, proficient in singing, and well-versed in painting. On the same lines, today women’s education in the country of India has sharpened the edge of the axe of women’s empowerment, due to which a lot of success has been achieved in cleaning the wild bushes of Indian social life.

In this series, on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2022, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, a series of action plans named “Swashrita” have been prepared by All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan in the direction of empowering women, to make them financially strong. A wonderful initiative has been taken in the direction of ss empowerment by simultaneously providing more than five hundred sewing machines and also making arrangements for training in sewing women. Under this campaign, arranging sewing training at 16 centers across the country at a minimum fee and arranging sewing machines at half the cost will prove to be a milestone in the future for the upliftment of women belonging to weaker sections. National President of All India Women’s Organization Mrs. Asha Maheshwari, National General Secretary Mrs. Manju Bangar, Organization Minister Mrs. Shaila Kalantri, Treasurer Mrs. Jyoti Rathi, Committee and Project Head Mrs. Girija, in making this dream project a reality for the upliftment of women. Saradaji, committee in-charge Mrs. Usha Mohanta, Mrs. Neelima Mantri, committee co-incharge Mrs. Pratibha Nathani, office minister Mrs. Madhu Baheti, Mrs. Rajshree Mohanta, Mrs. Swati Kabra, Mrs. Rashmi Binnani, Mrs. Kanchan Rathi and others. Due to tireless efforts, this wind of change has been possible to blow. In making this unique work successful, many personalities from different fields extended their blessings by being deeply involved. The distribution of 525 sewing machines simultaneously across the country by Swashrita, a well-intentioned organization, a project of All India Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan, being unique in itself, has been declared a world record by the world-renowned organization Golden Book of World Records. In a webinar organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day, in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Asia Head of Golden Book of World Records, Dr. Manish Vishnoei announced this.
