Among the many sports played by skating, Limbo skating is a sport in which a person passes under long rods or bars wearing roller skates on his feet. In this sport, he has to cover a long distance in a very short time by extending both his legs without hitting the bars or the ground. Limbo skating is also called roller limbo.
Limbo skater Takshavi Vaghani from Ahmedabad, Gujarat performed such a feat in limbo skating that left everyone astonished. During the program organized at Shayona Sarvopari, Ghatlodiya, Takshvi Vaghani crossed the 22 SUV cars kept there at high speed by limbo skating under them. This amazing feat of limbo skating under most cars was recorded as a world record by the Golden Book of World Records with the title of “Limbo Skating Under Most SUV Cars”. Takshavi Vaghani achieved this feat at the age of just 5 years. Earlier Takshavi was receiving skating and karate training from her coach Sukanta Barji but seeing her performance and body flexibility, her parents encouraged her to learn limbo skating.
Takshvi Vaghani’s father Mr. Harnil Vaghani said, “It was not easy to find a place in the city where one could practice limbo skating. Takshavi used to practice in the society’s basement, service road and RCC road. She injured herself several times but was determined to make her mark. Due to her determination and the encouragement of her parents, today little Takshavi became the first limbo skater in Gujarat by setting a world record in the sport of limbo skating.
