The presence of transgenders in Indian society has been there since ancient times. They are mentioned in various mythological texts. They are prominently described in the Ramayana period and the Mahabharata period. Unfortunately, as a component of society, they have often been ignored by every class. The expected pen was not used on them even by the literature seekers. Generally, Kalamkars are better acquainted with every corner of society than other people, keep an eye on them, despite all these some angles remain bereft of the rays of social light. Somewhat similar is the condition of eunuchs, the main and vibrant component of the society, on whom the eyes of literary supporters have hardly fallen.

Dr Mahendra Bhishma, Senior Officer in Judicial Service at Lucknow High Court, got emotional after knowing the life story of the Kinnar community. Because there is no book, no researcher, no special literature, no play, no film on eunuchs i.e. eunuchs were made third gender members instead of human beings. Ultimately, Dr Mahendra Bhishma ji made up his mind to work in this direction. You have decided to do research on transgender society, write novels, and plays on them and finally, through your writings, you have decided to bring them into the mainstream of society, to give them real rights, to bring them to a respectable position.

It was not an easy task meeting everyone, social disruption, resource problems etc. But it is said that “Leek chod hi teen chale shayar, Singh, saput”. All three of you are poets as well, ideological lions rich in willpower to achieve the most difficult intentions and precious sons of Mother India. What was it then, walked on our stony, thorny path without thinking much. When the words that came out of your pen came before society in the form of a book, people were shocked. You put the reality of eunuchs in front of the readers with such a sharp vision and very minutely, with ease, then the readers not only started getting happy after reading it, but gradually the wind of change started blowing in the thinking of the people. This was the biggest earning of your pen, the biggest victory.

When your standard composition “Main Payal Hoon” based on eunuchs was being released, eminent personalities and eunuch gurus were saluting your pen on stage and everyone was bound to think that you should bow down. Are we and our behaviour towards the transgender community correct? You went on to create many timeless compositions like Main Payal Hoon, Jai Hind Ki Sena, Teesra Kambal, and Nar Katha and emerged as a strong watchdog of the society in the name of “Mahendra Bhishma”. You also wrote a lot of stories, plays etc. in this direction, many of which were also staged at a high level. Because of your writings, there was a big change in the thinking of the ruling power towards the eunuch class and thought and the action started for their benefit. Short films have already started to be made on many creations related to your Kinnar Samaj and the action plan for making films is also going on. Through your writing, you have proved that we keep on showing unlimited, unlimited behaviour towards the eunuch community. This is our very small thinking and undeveloped Sanskars and is proof of our fake developmental nature, otherwise, we all know that eunuchs are also born from the same womb from which all of us are born. He also drinks from the same breast, with the help of which our childhood has been spent and has nurtured us and made us the master of a great personality today. Today Dr Mahendra Bhishma ji has ignited social change with the magical power of his pen, your name will forever be inscribed in golden letters in the history of transgender society.
