The desire to do something different since childhood influenced Sharmistha Chakraborty, a resident of Kolkata, West Bengal, to such an extent that she made several records one by one. Born on March 24, 1987, in the lap of Mr Vimal Kumar Chakraborty and Mrs Krishna Chakraborty, Ms Sharmistha Chakraborty started working as a Diabetes Educator after pursuing higher education. In your student life, your brother’s advice to do something different from everyone got absorbed in your heart and mind and you always started thinking of working in this direction.

Being very fond of reading newspapers, she started collecting photos of film stars by cutting them out daily. When a large number of newspaper cuttings with photos were collected, you thought of registering it in the world record. For this, you contacted the office of the world-famous organization Golden Book of World Records and sent the application. Due to the collection of newspaper cuttings including 3140 photographs of film stars, your name was registered in the Golden Book of World Records on 4 October 2018 with the title of “Largest collection of newspaper cutting with film star photographs”. Due to this hobby of collecting photos of film stars from newspaper, the news of world records made your photo also get a place in all major newspapers.

Your habit of doing something different continued and in this direction, you also started collecting candy wrappers. Your name was re-entered in the Golden Book of World Records on 10 January 2019 with the title of “Largest collection of candy wrappers” for collecting 609 candy wrappers. For a long time, Sharmishtha Chakraborty ji had started collecting soap of only one brand and made a program to register it in the world record. After making all the preparations, you applied in the office of GBWR. On January 10, 2019, another record was registered in your name again with the title of “Longest chain of soap wrappers” by making 159-meter long chain of 2019 soap wrappers. Exactly 1 day later, on 11 January 2019, 2019 made a world record by making 82-meter long soap chain and once again registered its name in the Golden Book of World Records with the title of “Longest chain of toilet soap”.
