The award of “world’s best mother” is announced to be given to a young man, and on hearing such a young man whose age is only 30 years, suddenly one cannot believe it. After all, how can you be sure, how can a man be called a mummy, that too officially? But this is the truth, Mr Aditya Tiwari, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has been working in Pune as a software engineer by profession.
Being filled with the spirit of service to orphans and poor children, Aditya ji, like every year, went to Missionary of Charity’s Jyoti Niwas in Indore on his father’s birthday on 13 September 2014. There his eyes suddenly fall on a child of about 6 months, on touching whom he started looking at you with such eyes that your eyes fell on him. On coming back home, the whole night the face of that innocent child kept roaming in Aditya ji’s mind and he could not sleep the whole night. Abodh’s eyes would pull you towards him again and again and finally, Aditya ji made up his mind to adopt that child. But as soon as you inquired about the child from the staff there, they told you in one voice that the child is suffering from Down syndrome, a very dangerous disease and he is a guest on this earth for a few days. Despite hearing and understanding all this, Aditya ji did not give up his thoughts and in the next meeting informed the concerned authorities about his idea of adopting that child. After listening to your views, the people there informed me about the legal aspects and told me that no single parent can adopt a child unless he is above 30 years of age. Knowing this, once again despair arose in Aditya ji’s mind, but it was short-lived and you, not giving up, resolved to fight for the change of this rule and law and got involved in this work. No one at home, family, relatives, friends, or well-wishers agreed to listen to your decision. But most of the people were against you, despite all this Mr. Aditya Tiwari ji, full of strong will, started the legal battle, being firm on his intention. You knocked on every door from where there was the hope of success to get this child. After a long battle that lasted almost one and a half years, you got the victory and got the right to adopt that child in January 2016, along with this the Government of India relaxed the rules and bye-laws related to it.
Aditya ji named this lovely child Avneesh alias Binny and Mr. Aditya Tiwari ji left his best software engineer job to bring him up. You left the job, but now your work is being appreciated a lot all around. You were being invited by big institutions from India and abroad to give motivational speeches. This extraordinary act of yours entered the Golden Book of World Records with the title of Youngest (28 years 04 months) single parent to adopt a differently abled child. The United Nations also invited you to appreciate this extraordinary work and on 8th March 2020, you were honoured with the title of “Best Mummy of the World” by a prestigious institution.
Today Mr Aditya Tiwari has become a role model for the whole world. Especially for those children who are refused to be nurtured by their parents, who are not adopted by anyone and who are forced to live a very hellish life.
