Yoga is a process that is done to keep the body healthy. It can be done by a person of any age. Continuous practice of yoga increases flexibility and energy in the body. Through yoga, people around the world have made many types of world records and something similar has been done by Balod’s senior yoga teacher Dheeraj Sharma. He has made a world record by doing Bhujangasana. Which has been recorded in the Golden Book of World Records. Bhujangasana, also known as Cobra Pose, is done by lying on the stomach. It is comfortable for many types of physical problems.

On 24 February 2024, Mr. Dheeraj Sharma, Senior Yoga Teacher, a resident of Balod, Chhattisgarh, created a world record by performing Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) one thousand six hundred forty-one (1641) times in one hour. Which has been recorded in the record book with the title of “Most Bhujangasana Yoga Sets Performed in One Hour” in the name of Dheeraj Sharma. Ms. Sonal Rajesh Sharma, Chhattisgarh Head, GBWR, Chhattisgarh Head, confirmed the record. After which the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Honorable Shri Vishnu Dev Saye ji gave the record certificate and medal to Dheeraj Sharma.

During the presentation of certificate and medal, Mr. Toman Sahu, Mr. Dinesh Tapdiya, Mr. Chetan Patel, Mr. Neeraj Sharma and Mr. Aashish Rathi were present and congratulated Dheeraj ji for the record.
