Music is a powerful medium to express emotions and feelings. Listening to music gives pleasure to both the mind and brain of a person simultaneously. Music is an art that connects people from different political, geographical and cultural backgrounds, that is why music is also called a global language. Music composition is an activity which involves the process of making music. A composer or musician creates a beautiful and unique tune by combining notes, rhythm, and rhythm. Music composition is such a creative process through which a musician can express all types of emotions without any language and at the same time, with the help of music, a person can create an imaginary world within himself.

Aadya Garnayak, a Class 2 student of Shiv Nadar School, Gurugram, has created history by completing her Diploma in Music Composition on Piano at the age of just seven. Little Aadya achieved this feat after just one and a half years of practice. This feat of Aadya becoming the youngest to complete a Diploma in Music Composition was recorded as a world record in the Golden Book of World Records with the title of “Youngest Diploma Holder in Music Composition”. The certificate of the world record was presented during the program by Mr. Alok Kumar, National Head of the Golden Book of World Records, present in the program, in front of Dr. Aman Bathla, the guru of Aadya Garnayak and known as the Piano King of India. After the announcement of the record, Aadya performed the self-composed tune ‘Dawn to Sunrise’ on the piano which enthralled everyone present at the venue. Aadya’s parents and teachers were very happy with this achievement.

Little Aadya got this achievement after giving correct answers to all the questions in the interview round which lasted for about one and a half hours during the competition organized in the clubhouse of Vatika City, Gurugram. Chancellor of The Global Open University Nagaland, India Education Management, South West Delhi Dr. Priyaranjan Trivedi and Director of Doordarshan Dr. Amarnath were present as chief guests in the program. Expressing her happiness about making the world record, Aadya said, “I still have a lot to learn in piano. I want to make my parents and Guruji proud by making a record like this.” He got the inspiration to make the world record from his guru Dr. Aman Bathla ji. Dr. Aman Bathla ji holds the record of being the fastest pianist in the world, he has been honoured with the Piano King of India, Bharat Gaurav, Haryana Ratna and many other honours. He has set many world records through his excellent piano playing, today his disciples are also following the same path and setting new records.
