On September 8, 2021, the online program organized by the All India Marwari Mahila Sammelan to spread awareness about eye donation inscribed its name in golden letters in the Golden Book of World Records.
During a virtual program organized on 9 October 2021, Dr. Manish Vishnoei, Asia Head of the Golden Book of World Records, gave the certificate of the world record while making the official announcement.
National President of All India Marwari Women’s Conference, Mrs. Sharda Lakhotia ji told that on September 8, 2021, an online program was organized by our organization to spread awareness about eye donation, in which 723 women participated. This program has been recorded in the Golden Book of World Records today with the title “Largest online program on eye donation awareness by women’s organization”.Secretary of the organization Mrs. Rekha Lakhotia told about the organization that All India Marwari Mahila Sammelan is a nationwide organization that has 625 branches and more than 25000 members.
Expressing happiness about becoming a world record, Mrs. Sandhya Agarwal, head of the eye donation wing in the organization, said that the organization has been working in the field of eye donation, blood donation, and body donation for the past several years. Today, when the program of eye donation has been registered in the Golden Book of World Records, a new enthusiasm has been infused in all of us. Mrs. Ritu Moda ji of the organization considers this as a milestone and connecting more and more people with this campaign called upon to speed up the work of providing eyesight to the blind so that they can see the world through eye donation.
Various state project heads, zonal heads, and members including former national presidents of All India Marwari Mahila Sammelan participated in the online program. At the end of the program, Mrs. Rekha Rathi expressed gratitude to everyone.
