India is an agricultural and rural-dominated country. A vast majority of the population still lives in the village. It is a matter of misfortune that a large number of poor, unemployed are still in our country and it is a matter of great regret that there are many beggars in every corner of the country.

Nature has made the valleys of Uttarakhand very rich in its natural form. But amid the same natural shades, when a young woman saw the poverty-cursed children stumbling from door to door, begging, she remembered the struggling days of her childhood. And she gets emotional and decides at the same time that she will do something for the begging children and will continue to free them from this curse. Today, under the care of that goddess, hundreds of children are studying, living an extraordinary life, who once used to live by begging. That loving mother like a goddess is distributing a drop of light in the lives of thousands of human beings. Today this goddess has become the pride of the entire Uttarakhand and people know her greatly by the name of respected Gunjan Bisht Arora.

Respected Gunjan Arora’s father Mr. Heera Singh Bisht passed away when you were only two and a half years old. The mother brought up the daughter alone and made her study for higher education. You got married to a wonderful and financially prosperous person named Mr. Sandeep Arora ji and you started living a happy life. After some time, when you used to see the poor, your happiness seemed wasted, now you were not able to suppress this inner voice for a long time. So, Gunjan ji took out time and started teaching poor and begging children and after some time established an organization named Veerangana and engaged in this austerity. Slowly people started coming to help you. By the way, Gunjan ji never takes financial help from anyone, but many people bring some things related to education and give them to their children. Many people also call you mad and crazy, but you are engaged in this pious work of teaching poor children by not paying attention to anyone’s words. The caravan which you started in the series of teaching some poor children who make a living by begging, is slowly increasing. Many illiterate parents do not know the importance of education, and they do not know the benefits of school, education, but Gunjan ji explained to such parents and removed the obstacle of education of children, it was a challenging task.

Gunjan ji only says this to the society that if possible, give your old or useless things and books to our children. Today many people keep coming and bowing down in front of your work and keep getting overwhelmed. Gunjan ji tries to help poor children and poor, oppressed people in every way. Your spiritual practice is now seen everywhere with respect. You are honoured with different types of honours, but this is the real honour for this goddess who has an ocean of compassion in her, whenever a child abandons the alms bag and walks towards the temple in the form of a school, smilingly placing the learning bag on his shoulder.
