The “JITO Ladies Wing – Chennai Chapter” recently achieved a remarkable milestone by setting two world records in the realm of food and wellness, both of which have been duly registered in the prestigious Golden Book of World Records.
The grand event, known as “The Food and Wellness Story,” was hosted by the “JITO Ladies Wing – Chennai Chapter,” an integral part of the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), renowned for cultural, commercial, and social events across India. This spectacular food festival, held on September 30th and October 1st, 2023, at Rani Mayammai Hall in Egmore, Chennai, aimed to promote food and nutrition-related businesses and showcase new technology and gadgets.
The highlight of this event was the setting of two world records. A group of women achieved the first world record, decorating an astounding 1,000 cupcakes in just one hour, thus earning the title “Fastest Feat of Decorating One Thousand Cupcakes.” This achievement was registered in the Golden Book of World Records. The program was graced by Mr. Vedansh Soni, a representative of the Golden Book of World Records, who presented provisional certificates for both world records.
The second world record featured a group of 25 women, decorating 1,000 cupcakes in record time.
This feat wouldn’t have been possible without the leadership and support of key individuals, including Shivani Jain, Chairperson of JITO Ladies Wing, Sapna Bethala, Chief Secretary, Sonali Dugar, Chief Curator, Ramesh Dugar, Chapter Chairman JITO Chennai and Nehal Shah, Chief Secretary, along with Naresh Jain (LW convener) and board members- Swapna Kochar ( Project Convener), Mamtha Mutha (Co-Convener), Anjana Arun, Samta Bhatera ( members ) and their JITO Chennai counterparts and the entire JITO community.
The event was further enriched by the expertise of Poonam Ankur, a renowned Chef and Baker at Little Yumms in Bangalore, who led the dedicated team in achieving these records.

“The Food and Wellness Story” not only celebrated the culinary arts but also promoted women entrepreneurs’ skills, all while showcasing an array of delectable cuisines, innovations in food technology, and insights from industry experts.
This remarkable feat was made possible through the collaboration with “Suhana Masala” and the generous support of various sponsors, further emphasizing its significance in promoting and nurturing women entrepreneurs.
