Every person desires a healthy body but almost everyone is suffering from some disease or the other. One of those diseases is cancer which is a very dangerous and life-threatening disease, but its prevention is possible. Cancer cases are increasing rapidly in India, so it is important to increase awareness and knowledge about cancer among people. Early detection of cancer can prevent it by changing lifestyle for its management and treatment. World Cancer Day is also celebrated to make people aware about cancer.
Awareness campaigns are run all over the world to make people aware about cancer. To make people aware, six hundred thirty (630) people were told about the causes of cancer and ways to avoid it under the “Largest Cancer Awareness Camp” by the “Innerwheel Club of Raipur Capital” in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Free testing was also done. This camp held on 20 January 2025 was recorded in golden letters in the “Golden Book of World Records” with the title of “Largest Cancer Awareness Camp” as a world record. This camp was conducted under the guidance of club president Mrs. Rashmi Mirani.
In this camp, 630 people from 48 villages understood the causes, prevention and treatment of cancer and got their diseases examined. In this camp, Gynecologist Dr. Madhupriya Agrwal, Medicine Specialist Dr. Sumit Singh, Ophthalmologist Dr. Manish Shrivastav and Dr. Shobha Sharma provided their services. Dr. Mithilesh Chaudhary, CMO and Dr. Vikash Tiwari was present during the camp and wished for the success of the camp.
