It is a wonderful coincidence that Nagada has been mentioned in Meghdoot, the creation of the great poet Kalidas ji, the creator of world-famous texts. Today, unmatched meditation is being done in Nagada by an art seeker named Shri Narendra Singh Kushwaha ji of the same holy city of Ujjain, which was the place of meditation of Mahakavi Kalidas ji. Mr. Narendra Kushwaha, serving in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in Ujjain, joined the job after receiving Sangeet Prabhakar’s diploma from Prayag, but his dedication towards art was shaking his mind, as a result, he always kept on doing one experiment or the other.
Once you got the information from your Gurudev that drums are also made of glass. On hearing this, Mr Kushwaha ji, who had a special love for drums, thought why not make drums out of the glass as well? Just what was it, you started towards this goal, after a long penance, in the year 2010, and you surprised the music and art world by making the world’s largest glass drum. Narendra Ji, fond of making discoveries on musical instruments, started making many inventions of bamboo etc. On March 6, 2017, Mr Kushwaha’s name was registered in the Golden Book of World Records with the title of “Most musical instruments made from bamboo” by making 14 different types of musical instruments from bamboo. Even before this, you had registered your name in the Golden Book of World Records (GBWR) for making Nagada. Using 12 different materials like glass, wood, bamboo, plastic etc., you registered your name in the Golden Book of World Records again on 14 July 2017 by making a maximum number of types of Damru. This colourfulness of yours goes on continuously along with the search for new inventions. On September 19, 2018, once again you hoisted the flag of fame of Ujjain city by registering your name in the Golden Book of World Records for making eight musical instruments with the help of iron rods.
Born on January 1, 1965, in the house of Shri Shyam Lal ji and Mrs Bhagwati ji, Narendra Kushwaha ji keeps manufacturing various types of musical instruments throughout the year and offers them free of cost to various temples. Looking at this extraordinary colour of yours, you are honoured with many prestigious honours from time to time. Thus far you have been honored with hundreds of awards.
